10 2000s Albums That Are Practically Flawless

1. The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance

Once the '00s really started to reach its peak, you couldn't get away from the emo wave of rock if you tried. As opposed to the early days of nu metal or the grunge wave that happened in the '90s, everyone and their mother was throwing on the eyeliner and trying to cater to the Hot Topic stripe of rock fan. Other bands may have tried to ride that wave, but no one really captured the spirit of pain quite like My Chemical Romance.

Inspired by their favorite rock operas from childhood, Gerard Way and co. created a long journey about one man's struggles to hold onto his sanity through the final days of his life after being diagnosed with cancer. From the minute that the opening flatline of Dead! begins, you are on a nonstop thrill ride, from crying your heart out on the song Cancer to eventually being thrown into the bowels of Hell on songs like Mama or Sleep.

It's theatrical, it's emotional....and it's a touch too melodramatic for many people to stomach. Then again, we're not talking about albums that cater to everyone on this list. We're talking about albums that are flawless from back to front with absolutely no weak spots, and for a band that was looked at as a bunch of scene kids, this is the kind of bombastic experience that would have made Freddie Mercury proud.
