10 Absolutely Insane Rider Requests By Spoilt Musicians

5. 100 Snow-White Goats For Slaughter - Slayer

Slayer reign in blood
Geffen

When you're in a band like Slayer, you have a certain image to uphold and the items listed on their tour rider is no exception.

Formed in 1981 by Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, Slayer took the world of metal by storm with their third album Reign In Blood which reached gold certification status in the US. With a back catalogue that contains songs such as Angel Of Death, Criminally Insane, and The Antichrist, you'd expect their backstage area to look like the seventh circle of hell, and you wouldn't be wrong.

The items from their 2013 headline show at the Funfunfun Fest showed that the metal overlords wanted: 10 cases of Gogurt (don't worry it gets better), 50,000 live bees, a Zamboni, 1 human skull full of RedHots (a cinnamon candy) and 100 snow-white goats for slaughter.

It's unclear whether or not those 100 snow white goats were slaughtered back stage or whether they were there to fight the 50,000 live bees whilst the rest of the band watched and ate cinnamon candy from the comfort of their Zamboni.

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
