10 Albums That Are Difficult To Listen To

6. Be Here Now - Oasis

One of Oasis' greatest strengths in the early days was there was never too much fuss to have to worry about on record. From track one to the end, these lads from Manchester knew how to serve up some of the greatest rock and roll ever created and leaving you absolutely reeling by the time the record finished. Since that already worked so well, then why not just give your audience more of what they want? It should go great, right......RIGHT?

Though not too much has changed coming from What's the Story Morning Glory to Be Here Now from a raw sonic perspective, this was the moment where the Gallaghers got way too high on their own ego. As much as these songs could have been great for what they were, the sheer length of them is enough to kill any momentum they might have had, with many of these tracks going over 7 minutes just for the sake of having longer songs.

Even with stuff like Rock and Roll Star and Champagne Supernova in their catalog, this is where it became far too much, and fans started to jump ship immediately after the new album hype wore off. While there's still some light flickers of Oasis at points on this album, you can practically feel the secondhand burnout from these sessions with every other minute you spend with this record.
