10 Amazing Bouncebacks In Rock History

7. Dr. Feelgood - Motley Crue

If you're looking to lead the clean and healthy lifestyle, it would probably be in your best interest to stay far away from Motley Crue. At the start of the hair metal movement, these guys were quickly becoming the biggest group of hellraisers on the scene, with a wildness that was even crazier when they left the stage. While the creed is sex, drugs, and rock and roll, that kind of stuff does tend to catch up with you.

As the years went on, things were quickly starting to come off the rails with Motley behind the scenes. Though albums like Theater of Pain and Girls, Girls, Girls struck a nerve with fans, the drug abuse running rampant backstage eventually led to Vince Neil being charged with manslaughter after a car crash and Nikki Sixx being pronounced dead only to be brought back to life minutes later.

After years of debauchery, the guys quickly realized that if they wanted to make a kickass record, they needed to get sober. With each entering rehab and then shacking up in a studio in Vancouver, Motley resurfaced with Dr. Feelgood, which became their first album to top the charts. Even though the hair metal genre may have been shifting beneath their feet at the time, this was one hell of a sendoff for some of the craziest partiers the Sunset Strip had ever seen.
