There are a lot of actors, actresses, or other celebrities who have tried to translate their fame into musical success, and the vast majority of them from Lindsay Lohan to Jamie Foxx could earn a spot on this list for their liberal use of auto-tune. However, they all pale in comparison to Paris Hilton, whose mostly forgotten foray into pop music a hilariously awful 2006 single called "Stars Are Blind" might be the best example out there of music generated by computer programs. Coming across as a mix between generic island reggae and that atrocious "Barbie Girl" song from the 90s, "Stars Are Blind" sounds like the kind of song that would be played off as a character joke in an over-the-top sitcom (like Robin's "Let's Go to the Mall" song from "How I Met Your Mother"). Coming from a woman who is so famously rich, "Stars Are Blind" sounds remarkably like it was cobbled together on a budget of about six bucks, from the song's tinny electronic music loops to Hilton's robotised voice. Somehow though, "Stars Are Blind" managed to score reasonable levels of radio play and iTunes sales, making it all the way to number 18 on the United States Billboard Hot 100. As an American, I'm still ashamed that I live in a country where something like this was allowed happen.
