The Smiths After Oasis, fellow Manchester group The Smiths are the band on everyone's lips when it comes to potential reunions for festival headline slots - and have been for many years. We are still to see it. Morrissey, Johnny Marr and company stopped performing in 1987 after only five years together, and have continuously objected to any possible reunions, with Morrissey saying in 2006 that he would "rather eat own testicles than reform The Smiths, and that's saying something for a vegetarian." If you are reading this Morrissey and Johnny: do us all a favour and put on the best reunion show of all-time, please. And hurry up - you're not getting any younger. Like this article?
