10 Awesome Classic House Music Tracks That Are Incredibly Preachy

2. Happy Clappers - I Believe (1995)

Probably the most commercial entry on the list, I Believe by the Happy Clappers (the group name says 'preachy' before you even hear the track) is a spirited track that simply endorses the concept of believing in things - love, equality etc. Happy Clappers were a UK house studio project featuring Chris Scott, Graeme Ripley, Martin Knotts and Mark Topham, with Sandra Edwards on vocals. The track features a quintessentially 90s piano riff to go with the pounding beat and cheeky hi-hats and Edwards' vocal is as enthusiastic and powerful as you could possibly wish to hear. Sample lyrics:
And I believe were equal, whatever colour or creed I can't deny the truth, well it's the love that I believe
N.B. It's an extended dub version with no such lyrics in the video above. The shorter commercial version had more lyrics. But you'll still get the point from the repetitive 'I BELIEVE!'
