10 Awesome Music Festivals We Should All Aim To Visit
2. Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival U.S.A
A festival most of us helpless eastern-Atlantic dwelling music fans may only dream of attending, Coachella takes place in the Californian desert during the month of April. Running (pretty much) annually since 1999, the festival has patrons revelling in all kinds of popular music, and often in temperatures exceeding 110*F. With headliners as diverse as Bjork, The Beastie Boys and Kraftwerk featuring over the years, Coachella provides merrymakers with so much more than a solid (and I mean solid) roster of bands and musicians. With artwork installations as a co-point of focus alongside the music, the festival encourages the growth of a link between the mediums of visual and auditory art. This year the bill features acts as disparate as Arcade Fire to Bonobo to Brian Ferry to Calvin Harris to Chromeo to Chvrches to Fatboy Slim to Motorhead. Simply outstanding, California.
