10 Bands That Made The Same Album Over Again

3. KISS

When talking about the greats of the music industry, KISS is one of the few bands that needs to be seen to be heard properly. Although most artists like to call the attention to their cleverness in the studio, the idea of having different demons coming to life onstage and giving a rock and roll church-like experience isn't something that you're going to capture over 30 minutes on a record. So when you finally find a way to do it, you milk that money machine for all it's worth.

Being launched by their first live album Alive!, KISS became one of the biggest names in American music, giving them the opportunity to go onto even greater heights on albums like Destroyer. Even though each respective studio entry did okay, it was only a matter of time before Alive II came into existence, complete with all new songs to mix up the formula of just playing through staples like Strutter and Deuce over again.

While one retread would have been enough, these guys really don't know when to quit with the live stuff, serving up Alive III during their makeup-less era and even putting together a fourth live DVD and record with a full orchestra. It's one thing to try and recapture the magic one more time, but this is just poking a dead horse to see if it prints out any more money for you.
