https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Pnlm1Ky_sA For the ultimate Alter Bridge track it should be the one that exudes everything they do better than everyone else - and besides the hugely important emotional connection present in Blackbird, Isolation is the most instantly-engaging, bone-powderingly brutal composition they've done so far. Stupidly heavy riff that bursts out the speakers every time? Check. Complex solo that's actually got way more going on under the hood than you might think? Check. The biggest chorus they've ever written that makes everyone want to scream the words even if they don't know them? Double, and triple check. As the lead single for AB III this is the one that got them to the top of the rock charts for weeks, onto stadium tours the world over and even some huge mainstream exposure when it was played on Jimmy Kimmel to an audience of millions. The third album was definitely a more contemplative work overall, but its core concept of a wandering soul searching for purpose ended up producing the band's all-round greatest achievement in the process.
