10. Remember December
Demi doesn't do a ton of stylistic risk-taking, aside from the leap into hip hop she took with Unbroken. But when she does, such as with this gem or with the jazzy "Every Time You Lie," both off of her second album, she proves that her range as an artist extends beyond just her range as a vocalist. "Remember December" is a spot-on throwback to 80s synth-pop while also maintaining the punk edge that made Demi's first two albums so singular compared to her more inside-the-box contemporaries. This was released as a single, but unfortunately failed to chart beyond #80 in the United Kingdom. It's too bad; it's one of her most concert-ready tracks.
