10 Best Diss Tracks In Hip Hop

9. Doe Rae Me (aka "Hailie's Revenge") - Eminem (2003)

When you have one of the best in the game coming after you, you better be ready to brace yourself for the fury. But when the best is augmented with a rap group like D-12, all bets are off.

Long before Ja Rule was embroiled with lawsuits surrounding his ill advised attempts at launching a music festival, he was embroiled with a bitter feud with 50 Cent. Way back in '99 Ja Rule was robbed, supposably by an affiliate of 50 Cent. Over the next few years, a number of run ins amplified the tension between the two, including a brawl in 2000. That same year 50 was stabbed by one of Ja Rule's affiliates.

As well as all the punches being thrown, the two rappers exchanged a number of diss tracks. Eminem was eventually entangled in the beef. Ja Rule foolishly made a number of references to Em's mother and estranged wife, going on to insinuate his daughter would grow up to be a prostitute. It's never a wise move to go after Slim. The result was a devastating tirade of insults from one of hip hop most inventive rappers.
