10 Best Hard Rock & Heavy Metal Songs Of 2017 (So Far)

6. Living On The 110 - Prophets Of Rage

Of all the bands that would fit right in rebelling against the potato-faced antics of Mr. Trump, Rage Against the Machine are nowhere to be seen in their original form. Though worry not, as Prophets of Rage (comprising all RATM members minus Zack de la Rocha but with Chuck D, DJ Lord and Cypress Hill's B Real) are making it their mission to address every possible social injustice out there.

It can be a little too on the nose in the likes of 'Unf*ck the World', but Living on the 110 is a pure Rage-baked barnstormer. Tom Morello is having the time of his life, playing chords with a violin bow and busting out one of the most OTT effects-laden solos of his life - one that takes on a whole new dimension of sound when DJ Lord starts remixing the result.

Morello has noted that he's made a career out of crafting riffs from all the base fret markers on a guitar, but it's that style of bouncy rhythmwork that made the likes of Sleep Now in the Fire an anthem, and Prophets of Rage have that sound down.
