10 Best Hard Rock Power Ballads You've Probably Never Heard
6. The Last Vegas - Apologize
Forming in the early 2000s, The Last Vegas may be one of the newest bands on this list, but their sound nevertheless draws heavily on classic rock and punk, with the band citing the likes of Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, and Cheap Trick as some of their influences.
After releasing their first two albums with indie label Get Hip Records, the Chicago-based band gathered some attention for their striking sound. They’d even go on to tour alongside music legends Mötley Crüe before the release of their first major label album, Whatever Gets You Off, which was co-produced by none other than Nikki Sixx.
And it’s on this album where rock
fans can find the track Apologize. A modern song with the soul and spirit of
classic rock, frontman Chad Cherry’s growling vocals channel the energy of his
musical icons to deliver a timeless rock ballad.
Since then, The Last Vegas have continued to tour alongside Mötley Crüe, AC/DC, and Guns N’ Roses as well as headlining their own shows, proving that the spirit of classic rock continues to live on.
