10 Best Hard Rock Power Ballads You've Probably Never Heard

5. FM - Every Time I Think Of You

Another hard rock band from the UK alongside Strangeways and Dare that somehow never quite made it to the big leagues, FM (also known as FM UK in the US) had everything going for them at the start of their career. Alongside touring with the likes of Meat Loaf, Status Quo, and even Bon Jovi, the band were a regular in London clubs.

Therefore, when their label brought on songwriting legend Desmond Child (who previously worked with Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Cher) to help work on some tracks for the band's next album (Tough It Out). Unfortunately, despite being heavily promoted, the album never got the traction the label hoped for, and the band never became commercially successful.

However, commercial success has never been a reliable marker for quality, with tracks like Bad Luck and Tough It Out acting as proof. however, this album likewise contains underappreciated ballad Every Time I Think Of You.

A far more subdued track compared to the rest of their album, and everything else on this list, Steve Overland's passionate vocal performance is what makes this track shine, with the catchy melodies acting as the cherry on top of this gem of forgotten English rock history.
