10 Best Joe Rogan Experience Episodes With Musicians

3. Paul Stanley (562)

KISS are without question one of the biggest bands in the history of the game. The rock giants have been going for over four, nearly five decades now, and even if someone isn't familiar with their music, chances are they've seen the face paint.

Paul Stanley, along with Gene Simmons, has been the driving force behind the band for all this time, and it's fair to say he isn't like other rock superstars. From an early age he had the presence of mind to shield himself from the drugs and alcohol that were the downfall of so many of his peers, instead looking to sex for his own indulgence.

Before discussing the ins and outs of the music industry with Joe Rogan, and giving his strong views on downloading and streaming music, Stanley gives a deep insight into why the band parted ways with Peter Criss and Ace Frehley in 1982 and 1979 respectively.

Describing his former band mates as 'like flat tyres' that he and Gene were constantly battling against, it was only a matter of time before things needed to change. Even weeks into their reunion tour, the cracks once again started to show, leading to Paul vowing to never work with them again. It's an intriguing break up story that any fan of KISS, or rock n' roll in general, should listen to.
