6. Ungrateful - Escape The Fate

The video for "Ungrateful" expresses the problems of bullying, and how serious the outcomes of it can be. Not only does it show what bullying can do, but how it starts. Through the video we see that bullying is a cycle, and violence is learned. A small boy is bullied to death by an older boy in school who we later see is bullied and beaten badly by his father. The father is even seen to be bullied by his work colleagues. The only thing that violence brings is hurt and has huge consequences on the people we love. The lyrics in the song say "stand up and scream while the rest of the world won't make a sound", imploring us as viewers to digest what we are seeing in the video, be disgusted by it, and stand up and do something about it if we happen to come across it in our everyday lives. The video then makes the issue all the more real by recognising young people who had lost their lives to bullying at the end. This music video is a powerful example of what music and media can do to get a message across to make a difference.

Art is expression, with any possible form of media you can think of. Throughout my life I have experimented with many creative outlets such as music, writing, painting, drawing, sculpting, photography, and film.
Recently I have grown to love the art of film. It is a great way to get my creativity working in fantastic ways. I am now working on getting a degree in Communications with a minor in Creative Writing. I will be graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2014 and hope to pursue a masters in film down the road.
I have currently started working as a video/audio assistant and technician at my University. I also freelance write, produce and edit stories, poetry, and video.
I hope that someday I can produce my own films and work on documentaries focusing on nature and destinations.
Life is too short to stop and think. Act, see, and experience the world and it's beauties. There's no better way to do that than seeing it first hand, then reminding yourself later of what awesome things you've seen, by looking through your camera or expressing it in a story.
