The task of following former bassist Jason Newsted as the newest member of the seminal thrash group was arguably the lesser of the two tasks the former Suicidal Tendencies man had to complete. Namely, he also had to win over a band who had effectively sidelined their own member following his succession of the late Cliff Burton before him.

Trujillo took to it like a duck to water however, to the acclaim of both his fellow musicians and fans. He's coming up on twenty years in the band, almost as long as both his predecessors combined - and his particularly deft, brilliant style makes him among the most formidable musicians at his craft on the arena and stadium circuit.
