10 Best Rock Music Album Closers Of The 2010s

8. Walls - Kings Of Leon (Walls)

Three years after their acclaimed album Mechanical Bull, the Followill clan were back with a brand new record.

This was Kings of Leon's seventh studio album, Walls, which was actually an acronym for "We Are All Like Love Songs". What does that mean? Who knows, but it sounds nice.

Walls is currently the only Kings of Leon album to top the US charts, a feat that it also achieved in the UK. Although the Brits love a bit of Kings of Leon, so that's less impressive.

The album's lead single, Waste a Moment, went gold in the UK (told you), but that was actually the opening song. At the other end of the scale, we have the title track.

Another quiet acoustic song (which also gets some help from a piano), Walls is more of a showcase for Caleb Followill's beautiful voice. He croons over the top of a sugary sweet backing track, gripping a listener for the full five-and-a-half minute runtime.

Walls does a brilliant job in bringing its namesake to an end, giving the listener a soft place to land once everything is said and done.
