10 Best Rock Music Album Covers Of The 2010s
1. OK, I’m Sick - Badflower
It took six years for Los Angeles-based rock band Badflower to get their first album out on a major label.
OK, I'm Sick was the end result of over half a decade of hard work from the LA four piece and was put out by music powerhouse (and Taylor Swift's sworn enemies) Big Machine in 2019.
The record did well amongst critics, with Loudwire naming it one of their favourite albums of the years. Unfortunately, this enthusiasm was not reflected in sales; the album only reached 140 on the Billboard 200.
But who cares, because that artwork is something else.
A blonde-haired man is stood against a blue background. Blood is dripping from his mouth to form the "L" in the band's name. Over his face is a white strip bearing the record's name.
There's something so dehumanising about not seeing a person's eyes, which adds to the sense of dread created by the album's title and the use of blood.
With just a bit of makeup and some after effects, photographer Tyler Shields created an extremely powerful image that would have sat well on the walls of any modern art gallery.
