10 Best Songs About Becoming An Adult

9. What A Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong

When growing up, you tend to become a bit more concerned about the world around you. As the hair starts to gray and you start welcoming your own children into the world, it's hard to control your circumstances if the world seems to be falling apart at the seams. Then again, Louis Armstrong's voice always seemed to point out the most important things in life.

Taken on their own, the lyrics to "What A Wonderful World" are almost too simple in their construction, with Armstrong just listing off different things in life that would hardly matter in the grand scheme of things. From the red roses to the green pastures, none of these seem to hold that much water when you factor in deadlines and commitments. On paper, it might sound stupid, but this song ends up holding up better after growing up.

Sure, the inherent corniness of some of these lines may be grating for most to hear, but as time starts to take its toll on your life, you start to realize all the beauty around you, even in something as simple as the sun and the air. There's not much in life that lasts forever, but as long as you have a bright sky up ahead, you know things are going to be alright.
