10 Biggest Bands That Got Boo'd Off The Stage
1. Bob Dylan
Any band has the right to switch up their sound every now and again. Hell, the only reason some bands are still relevant these days are specifically because they worked around their main sound and gave the audience what they didn't know they wanted. While Bob Dylan falls into that group, it's not like he nailed it the first time he went electric.
Given that the rock revolution was underway during Dylan's folk period, it wasn't necessarily the worst idea in the world for him to pick up an electric guitar and put some more grit in his delivery. Then again, the people who come to a Bob Dylan concert were coming because he was the antithesis of the mainstream, which made them absolutely furious to hear him "butchering" his best work. Though Bringing it All Back Home had wisps of rock on it, the sudden change to a full electric set made audiences lose their minds, going so far as to have one of the audience members cry out 'JUDAS' comparing Dylan to the disciple who betrayed Christ.
Rock is all about fighting against the norm though, and Dylan was more than willing to play the game, going so far as to tell his band to play as loud as they could after the crowd didn't go over that well. Even with a coy attitude like Dylan's, you need to have guts of steel if you're willing to go down swinging like this.
