10 Biggest Unsolved Mysteries In Music

3. What Happened To Jim Sullivan?

Unsolved murders are one thing, but what happened to American singer-songwriter Jim Sullivan was something else entirely. Sullivan released two albums before disappearing without a trace in New Mexico in March, 1975. He was driving to Nashville alone in his Volkswagen Beetle when he checked in to the La Mesa Motel in Santa Rosa. Sullivan was reportedly seen the next day twenty-six miles away at a remote ranch owned by the Gennetti family.

His car was later found abandoned at the ranch, containing his money, papers, guitar, clothes and unsold records. After that, Sullivan was literally never seen again. No-one knows if he was murdered, became disorientated and lost or suffered an accident. The fact that his first studio album was titled U.F.O. has led certain theorists to speculate the possibility of alien abduction.
