Brian Jones is the man credited with founding one of the greatest rock bands of all-time, The Rolling Stones. Over time, his struggles with drugs and alcohol made him increasingly unreliable, and in 1969 he was asked to leave the band. Less than a month later, he was found dead in a swimming pool.

Officially, Jones' demise was listed as 'death by misadventure,' which implied drugs and alcohol likely played a role in the drowning. Still, given the somewhat mysterious nature, the incident left itself wide open for conspiracy theories.

One such theory was presented by Tom Keylock, who was The Rolling Stones' chauffeur and road manager. Keylock claims that a construction worker named Frank Thorogood murdered Jones in a dispute over money.

The former chauffeur stated that Thorogood, who was on the premises at the time of Jones' death, privately confessed to the murder. He also says that the police mishandled the investigation scene, which is why the murder was covered up.

There are other stories surrounding the musician's death, but the Thorogood murder tale is the most compelling.
