8. Lovin' You - Minnie Ripperton
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wN_Wbnqthg&feature=player_detailpage Lovin' you is easy cause you're beautiful Makin' love with you is all I wanna do Lovin' you is more than just a dream come true And everything that I do is out of lovin' you La la la la la la la la la la Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh Released by Minnie Ripperton in 1975, Lovin' You was the 400th Billboard number one. It reached number 2 in the UK. The song is famous for its lack of percussion, birds tweeting in the background and Minnie hitting some unbelievably high notes. Apparently the song is based on a melody that Ripperton used to sing to her daughter when she was a baby to distract her. The song has been widely used in popular culture, from South Park to Disturbia.
