http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9md5oW00q4 This heavily orchestrated early power-rock piece was sung by the British singer Barry Ryan and penned by his twin brother Paul. Like Layla did to Slowhand, Eloise had Barry constantly on his knees. The catchy melody in the verse and the explosive tempo made Eloise a huge international hit; the Barry Ryan recording sold over 3 million copies, and the hit was successfully translated into numerous languages, including Czech, French, Finnish, Bulgarian, and Spanish the rock opera singer Tino Casal, (read: Spains dubious response to Liberace and David Bowie), recorded a version that took the flamboyance of the original to uncharted territory and made it a tremendous hit in Hispanic countries. It's dying now, she knows I'm crying now /And ev'ry night I'm there I break my heart to please /Eloise, Eloise / You know I'm on my knees yeah
