10 Cracking Songs Released After The Artist Died

3. John Lennon €“ Grow Old With Me

John Lennon John Lennon, known best for being in the English rock band, the Beatles and also for his political activism and pacifism, was famously murdered on 8th December 1980; shot at the entrance of The Dakota, the building where he lived, by Mark David Chapman. He was rushed to hospital but reported dead on arrival. The song, Grow Old With Me, was the last song that Lennon recorded. It was first released on the album Milk And Honey (1984), which is a compilation album of rough, unfinished songs by Lennon and new songs by his wife, Yoko Ono. It is no surprise that the song has become a staple at wedding ceremonies, as it is certainly a beautiful expression of love. However, it is devastating to think about how Yoko Ono had to compile the album together, listening to this song and yet never being able to grow old with her husband. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0R8D6WTIlA
