Sometimes, a musician's personal life steps in and mucks things up for a planned event, and you can't really fault them for it. This can happen when a baby is born prematurely, or if something happens to a loved one. When it's something like that, the fans understand and forgive.

When Liam Gallagher disappeared in 1996 so he could buy a house, Oasis had to cancel an entire U.S. leg of their tour while they awaited the return of the band's frontman.

Yes, he put off the tour, earning the ire of countless fans because he had to close on a house. According to Noel Gallagher, the band's lead guitarist, and Liam's brother, "Liam had actually made it to the airport in England, and as I'm getting on the plane, he's getting off because his wife called, saying 'We need to buy a house.'"

Liam's disappearance to finish closing on a home didn't help the band's image in the United States.

Noel expanded on the impact by saying, "The first gig was a 16,000-seat arena, and the singer’s not turned up. That killed us stone dead in America. We never recovered."
