8. Alec Eiffel
A track from Pixies last studio album, 'Trompe Le Monde', Black Francis was inspired to write a song about the designer of the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty, along with the term 'smart Alec'. The lyrics are humorous, speaking of the Eiffel tower looking 'phallic', and how he built these things despite people not really wanting them. Taking monumental structures and their national heritige and turning them on their heads, this is one of Pixies most wisecracking songs.
