3. Spanish Lady - Dustin and Ronnie Drew (November-December 1994)
How a puppet turkey gets to the top of the charts multiple times in any country for singing this badly is beyond comprehension. But it happened. And the dreadful consequences are still around for all to see. The Dubliners' Ronnie Drew is involved in this one, so perhaps that explains it reaching Number 1, and spending 4 long weeks there. Can't think why else it did, frankly. The original is actually a decent song. This one is just cringe-worthy.
