After hiring Phil Anselmo as their vocalist in 1987 the band decided that their 'glam' sound simply wasn't working and began experimenting with changes in style. An excellent decision indeed. By the time of the release of Vulgar Display of Power in 1992 the band had reinvented themselves as mentioned and would enjoy great success until they disbanded in 2003 over personal differences driven by vocalist Anselmo's addiction to heroin. Iconic guitarist Dimebag Darrell was tragically killed by a deranged fan in 2004 during a concert by Damageplan; the band that Abbot brothers Darrell and Vinnie replaced Pantera with. This classic track was recorded in the unusual time signature of 12/8 and should get even those disinclined to headbang into its groove.
