10 Great Albums You Probably Missed In 2013

6. Toro y Moi - Anything In Return

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGmfOsdla2Y Before Toro y Moi came to attention we'd never heard of chillwave. This well hidden but incredible genre of music is somewhere between electronica and soft rock - exactly what you need after a hard day€™s work! Toro y Moi, real name Chazwick Bundick, is often identified as the leader of the chillwave movement, and it's not hard to believe it when you hear his latest work. Anything in Return is a brilliantly soothing piece of work with just the right amount of sexy to have you sticking it on replay. Just listen to the soft crooning in the track Studies and you€™ll know what we're talking about! The music video for lead single, Say That, was also notable for being nominated in the €˜innovation€™ category of the first ever YouTube Music Video Awards. Consisting almost entirely of Chazwick dancing timidly in a variety of different settings, it€™s a surprising and ironic nomination. But the video is so effective that you€™ll understand when you watch it. If you ever feel like zoning out to some seriously relaxing yet funky music, Anything In Return is a great place to start. If you don€™t feel both calm and seriously cool by the end of it you're probably not listening to the right Toro y Moi.
