10 Great Albums You Probably Missed In 2013

4. Grouplove - Spreading Rumours

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGvHnDeS12o Another band that knows how to do things a little bit differently is Grouplove. With ties to a musical commune that encourages free living and musical innovation, as well as the tendency to put on a very colourful and energetic live show, this band is a force to be reckoned with. Somewhere between psychedelic rock and hippie pop, this band is the modern free spirit embodied. And while their debut Never Trust A Happy Song was catchy and fun, their latest work Spreading Rumours is their real masterpiece. The raw energy of tracks such as Ways to Go blends perfectly with the somewhat otherworldly meditation of tracks such as closer Save The Party For Me. This is pop music, but much more intelligent and innovative than the usual. If you like to party but don€™t really get the feeling of the modern electronica/dubstep fashion, this is a great band to get into. They're wild and colourful with a whole lot of style as garnish, it€™s hard to complain about their playful lyrics and the awfully-fun dynamic the two leads Hannah Hooper and Christian Zucconi have. If you haven€™t checked these guys out yet I strongly suggest you do. They may just be massive one day.
