WikipediaLet's get this one out of the way early. It makes for morbid reading, but literally nobody can contest Watkins' place in this list. Convicted of 13 charges of sexual assault in late 2013, the Welsh singer committed crimes that we all thought too awful to be true - many fans were in denial for months - and subsequently destroyed a band once adored by millions. Upon news of his conviction, his bandmates issued a somber statement reading, "Its still hard to believe this is happening and that someone we were once so close to has destroyed so many lives, lying every step of the way." The true extent of Watkins' crimes may never be fully made public, but thankfully his sentencing of almost 30 years in jail ensures his removal as a danger to the public, and can help bring closure to what must have been an incredibly traumatic time for his family, friends, and most importantly, his victims. The rest of his Lostprophets bandmates are seeking their own musical closure by forming new group No Devotion with Geoff Rickly, the former frontman of American post-hardcore band Thursday. Hopefully they can find success with their new venture, and not have their own careers ruined by the disgusting acts of one individual.
