10 Great Grinspoon Tracks

3. Repeat

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1Q4wVPaqMU This track is dark. Such an underrated number and a real standout from the bands first full length, 'Guide To Better Living'. A real ominous verse, again Davern utilizes the wah pedal to add to the nightmarish vibe. The chorus is a bulls-eye, as it opens up from the anxiety and dread of the verse. The shift in pace features another slick groove, before subsiding back into the unease again. Although all the tracks on 'Guide...' are of a high quality, this song shows a maturity in songwriting that was beyond a band that was still in its relative infancy. I wouldn't play this on headphones on a walk in the dark. The accompanying video clip, is also, rather menacing.

Live and work in Aberdeen, Scotland...unfortunately. Sang in My Minds Weapon (Basick/Drakkar/Sony) for ten years (2002 - 2012) and now just tinkering with various other projects. Die hard Leeds United fan. Metalhead in my heart but also love many other genres of music. Also enjoy anything with Christopher Walken or David Caruso. Family live in Perth, Australia, so have been there many times. Best place in the world.
