10 Great Hard Rock Songs Under 2 Minutes Long

4. Tourette’s - Nirvana

In terms of Nirvana's musical output, the song Tourette's holds a very special and slightly ominous place.

This 95 second-long song appears on the band's third and final album In Utero. It's the penultimate track, coming just before the closer All Apologies. That means, in chronological order, this is the second-to-last song from Nirvana's entire album output.

You're probably concerned that a song from the 1990s called Tourette's makes fun of the condition after which it was named. Lord knows plenty of other media was doing it at the time.

Kurt Cobain and co. thankfully knew better.

Instead, the lead singer screams about his heart, how it's in pain and could give out at any moment. This is some of Cobain's most impressive singing, as he completely shreds his voice to convey his feelings of anxiety.

No wonder this song is so short.

His frenzied words are accompanied by one of the punkiest backing tracks the band had produced in some time - definitely a throwback to their early days.

A great song with a fascinating place in rock history - just have a glass of water on hand if you're going to try and replicate it at home.
