10 Great Things In Metal This Week (27th Nov)
5. Bloodstock Festival Announces Three New Bands For 2017
With Donington's Download announcing its next headliners as Aerosmith, Biffy Clyro and System of a Down, it looks like the 2017 festival is going to be great for fans of rock n' roll.
However, if you're after pure, proper, good ol' fashioned metal, Bloodstock is where its going to be at in summer. So far, the Derbyshire-based four-day extravaganza has confirmed one headliner in the Swedish juggernaut Amon Amarth, as well as a plethora of A* main-stage supports, including Testament, Hatebreed, Whitechapel, HELL and Blind Guardian.
And this week, Bloodstock announced three more acts for 2017: unbridled Polish death metallers Decapitated, the old-school Floridians Obituary and the uncensored and controversial Brujeria.
With all of the new announcements being undoubtedly metal (take that Download!), Bloodstock is beginning to look like the one true stop for heavy music's most dedicated elite in Britain.
