10 Greatest AC/DC Songs Of The Brian Johnson Era

2. Hell's Bells

AC DC - Hell's Bells If Hell's Bells and For Those About to Rock being next to each other and this far up in the list means anything, it's that AC/DC should use more sound effects. I say sound effects, but an actual cannon and an actual huge bell are more real than most synthesized songs you hear these days, so it's not that bad really. Anyway, Hells Bells is, as far as i'm concerned, the Brian Johnson era equivalent of Highway to Hell. I know some people don't like that comparison, but that's the way I feel about it. As much as AC/DC has remained true to its sound over the past 40 years, I feel that there is a definite change in sound from Bon Scott era to Brian Johnson era, and that's why I dub this the Brian Johnson Highway to Hell, it's dark, scary and edgy, but as rock fans, we clearly love it. Who wouldn't! It has a hook to it that drags you in and won't let you go, and it all sounds so so so good. When played live, you can hear the thousands of people in the crowd chanting the riff, and it sounds practically eerie, but in the best possible way.
