10 Greatest Drummers Of All Time

10. Cozy Powell

10. Cozy PowellStand Out Track: Stargazer, Powell€™s thunderous intro announces the epic arrival of Hard Rock€™s finest track. Cozy Powell€˜s career reads like a roll-call of Seventies super-groups including stints in Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, the Michael Schenker Group, the ELP spin-off Emerson, Lake & Powell and most famously in Ritchie Blackmore€™s Rainbow. His solo work was just as revered with 'Dance with the Devil' peaking at No. 3 in the UK charts; no mean feat for an instrumental! Renowned for his versatile, heavy-hitting style it is a shame that Cozy never truly settled into one band and consequently became somewhat of a drummer for hire but the fact that Tony Iommi, Ritchie Blackmore, Michael Schenker and David Coverdale saw fit to request his presence on the drum stool stands as testament to his talent.

I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things. Most of the time I'll be writing nonsense but occasionally I may surprise myself and appear half-way knowledgable.....but you can be the judge of that. Thanks for your fleeting attention!
