10 Greatest Hip Hop Producers Of All Time
5. RZA
As if being a core member of the greatest hip hop group of all time wasn't enough of an accomplishment, RZA is also the creative genius for the group's greatest work. In fact, it was his vision that helped mould the group of MC's from Staten Island, New York into something truly special.
Not only was RZA able to produce a classic hip hop album in Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) all by himself, he also created an entirely different sound that hip hop had never really heard before. By taking samples from old martial arts movies and meshing them with the hard, gritty beats that fully represents the east coast hip hop sound he was able to create something wholly unique.
Although his production skills were clearly on point, the best thing about RZA was his ability to get the best performances out of all the members of the Wu-Tang Clan, a feat that rarely gets brought up when discussing the work of a producer.
Despite having to deal with so many different personalities and rapping styles, each member was able to shine on every track they featured on without ever sounding out of place.
