10 Greatest Musical Duos Of ALL TIME

5. Big Boi And Andre 3000

Out of all the genres to birth duos, hip hop is surprisingly lax when it comes to the idea. While there has been no shortage of posse cuts like NWA as well as a few stints of a rapper and a hype man like Public Enemy, the rap game as of late has tended to favor a dog eat dog world more often than not. Then again, OutKast were never meant to go along with the trends to begin with, so why the hell should they change?

Across every single one of these Atlanta natives' albums, Big Boi and Andre 3000 are a match made in hip hop heaven, always playing off each other with an extreme sense of personality and rhythmic flow. As far as the raw execution is concerned, Big Boi might be the better rapper, with a workman like consistency to every track he's on. Granted, anyone who's even slightly familiar with OutKast's work knows Andre's ability to incorporate soulful passages into the mix, whether it's the sounds of Miss Jackson or the fire he brings on B.O.B.

Even though time has seemed to sour the creative relationship between Big Boi and Andre, it's never gotten to the point where it was too much for them to bear. Though OutKast may have burned a little too bright in their time, their alternative brand of hip hop isn't going to be fading away any time soon.
