10 Greatest Unconventional Christmas Songs Ever

1. The Killers - Don't Shoot Me, Santa

http://youtu.be/cglLJJ0Czo8 While the image of Santa Claus may instill the fear of a reward-or-punish elf god into many kids and some adults, I don't think the concept has been touched upon quite as viscerally as with this song. The narrative is a back-and-forth between Brandon Flowers, the Killers' front man, and Santa Claus, who takes the form of that drunken redneck uncle of yours who molested you at the family barbecue. Apparently, Flowers has been murdering some kids around town who made fun of him and he's pleading his case to Santa... Who's going to take sweet vengeance by shooting him down. The music video (above) is something of a marvel and perfectly compliments the manic energy of the song. For those experiencing the song for the first time, it is imperative to watch the video. You may get nightmares about a crazed Santa coming to kill you at night, but it's worth it. Just make sure no kids are around. What do you think of our unconventional Christmas playlist?
