10 Greatest Unconventional Christmas Songs Ever

6. The Be Good Tanyas - Rudy

http://youtu.be/jQ150-aXXYU This song and Mynabirds' All I Want for Truth would compliment each other well back-to-back on a playlist. The title gets its name from a fictional (or non-fictional) homeless man named Rudy who has nowhere to go on Christmas. It cleverly, and devastatingly, juxtaposes the concept of a supposedly civilized society during a season of "good will toward men" with people who don't even know where their next meal will come from. God rest ye merry gentlemen Who have found it in your hearts To flip Rudy a thin, And I'll be home for Christmas, But this man has No place to go....Yeah, it gets worse as it goes. For as bleak as it may seem, the song is actually quite touching. You are virtually guaranteed to be sobbing by the end of it.
