10 Hard Rock Music Artists Who Released Two Great Albums In The Same Year

4. Kiss - Kiss & Hotter Than Hell And Destroyer & Rock And Roll Over

Everybody knows that face paint enthusiasts Kiss love to make money, so it should come as no surprise that the band did the double in not one year, but two.

And they didn't even have to replace their lead singer.

The band's first album - which was self-titled, as all of them seem to be on this list - came out in February 1974. They followed this up with some pretty intense touring and their first TV performances, whilst also finding the time to write and record album number two.

Hotter Than Hell hit shelves just eight months later and, despite being a belter, sold far less than its predecessor. Gene Simmons must have cried himself to sleep.

The band's third album Dressed to Kill was actually put out just five months after Hotter Than Hell in March 1975. The band then took a year off, before returning to the studio to record two more collections in 1976.

Rock and Roll Over is a firm favourite amongst the Kiss Army, but no one can argue with the power of Destroyer.

Five albums in three years.

Wow.
