10 Hard Rock Vinyl Albums That Are Worth A Lot Of Money
4. Plan Of Attak - Paradoxx
Aaaaaand we're back to the non-famous bands!
Another mid-80s US power metal group (although this time from Chicago), Paradoxx looked set to release their debut album Plan of Attak until something went wrong.
Due to a layout error, the group had most of the original pressings destroyed. All that survived were 50 copies, which were mostly distributed amongst friends and families.
Unbeknownst to them, this mistake would lead to the creation of one of the rarest metal records of all time.
For some bizarre reason, Plan of Attak (the spelling varies a lot, by the way) has become highly coveted by those in the vinyl collecting business. So much that, in 2013, another batch was remastered and released.
Entries from the original 50 remain the most valuable though, with Discogs listing the 1985 12" as being worth a median of $1522.82.
Tracking down this item is a task-and-a-half, especially if you're after one in anything close to a decent condition. However, this goes to show that even the smallest band can be worth a lot of money one day.
Keep hold of those demos your cousin made for you - might be worth something one day.
