10. In This Moment Call Me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvmg0q-KHRs Original Artist Blondie (1980)Released 2009 (The Dream, Bonus Track) It really is hardly surprising that one of the sexiest female vocalists of the modern era of metal in Maria Brink would not only be influenced by, but cover a song by one of the sexiest women in pop history; Blondie. What is surprising is just how good a job the band and their vivacious lead singer do in revamping this classic hit from 1980. The Grammy award-winning track from Blondie was one of her biggest and most influential hits of her entire career. Ranked by Rolling Stone as one of the 500 greatest songs of all time (283 to be exact), it was initially the theme song for the movie American Gigolo before it was released as a single which rocketed up the charts, peaking at No. 1 for six consecutive weeks and was certified Gold (for one million copies sold) by the RIAA. There have been a significant number of covers of Call Me recorded throughout the years by artists in various genres. But it is this heavy metal tribute that stands above the rest as the definitive reboot, with some fans insistent that they are the only ones to have surpassed the original. Upon hearing it for yourself it would be hard to pass judgment on this particular assessment.

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life????
