8. Ozena - She Kissed A Girl
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuXGNB8kRzM Original Artist - Katy Perry (2008)Released - 2011 Staying in Italy, as you traverse the lovely city of Florence be sure to keep your ear close to the ground as you may hear the rumblings of a certain locally produced band by the name of Ozena. Not quite as well known outside of Europe as some of their counterparts, they are starting to make waves on a global platform. And this cover of Katy Perrys I Kissed A Girl only got them added even more steam to their promotion machine. Paraphrased as clearly there are no women in the group, this up and coming metal band have turned this bubblegum pop song for confused teenage girls and hormonal driven young males into a potential cult hit that could see them achieve significant mainstream success. Even as far across the seas as the United States, Britain and Australia. With several EPs released and word of mouth quickly spreading fast, you may one day open up the gossip columns to find a story about Katy Perry telling a story about hearing her famous hit played with an attitude she could never have imagined. Stranger things have happened.

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life????
All demos, no albums ;)
