10 Incredible Paul McCartney Songs You’ve Never Heard
2. Hollywood Vampires - Come And Get It
With all due respect to Badfinger, their biggest hit Come And Get It is nearly identical to the demo presented to them by the song’s writer and producer, Paul McCartney. The main difference is the demo has Sir Paul on vocals, making it arguably preferable to the single version.
The typically catchy McCartney track found a new lease of life on Hollywood Vampires, the self titled debut album from a rock supergroup featuring Joe Perry, Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp.
Named after Cooper’s old drinking gang, Hollywood Vampires started out as essentially a covers band and is the very definition of a vanity project. That said, they were also a lot of fun.
Having given the song away decades before, McCartney got a second chance to front Come and Get It, guesting on lead vocals for his own song. He sounds like he’s having a blast rocking out on this unexpectedly heavy, amped up version.
