2. Rollin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYnFIRc0k6E A big part of hip-hop has always been about hype. You hype yourself, you hype your music, you convince the listener that you are the king and that everyone needs to be part of your kingdom. Limp Bizkit had no shortage of hype tracks but there were not many as catchy as "Rollin' ".
We got the game set, so don't complain yet, 24/7 never beggin' for a rain check, Old school soldiers, blasting out the hot s**t, That rock s**t - let them bounce in the mosh pit
This type of bravado was a new element for Bizkit's metal faction. There aren't any Iron Maiden or Black Sabbath songs asking listeners to pledge allegiance and hop up and down but that was what made Limp Bizkit what they are. They introduced new styles to new listeners while keeping it vaguely familiar. It was all wrapped in one, tight package for everyone to feed off and enjoy together.
