10 Japanese Musicians To Add To Your Playlist

9. Orange Range (‚ƒƒ‚ƒƒ‚)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epfPe2U_2Xk Orange Range is hard to pin down. They don€™t really stay in one genre but draw on an eclectic mix musical influences, ranging from alternative rock, to hip hop, to noise music and a lot of stuff in-between. Based in tropical Okinawa, this five-member group has been active since 2002 but only did their first tour outside Japan in 2014. They visited Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea. Hopefully they€™ll find time to visit this neck of the woods in the near future. Their music videos are often animated and their songs, owing to their catchiness, are often used as the opening and closing songs for anime series. An example of this is Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. The song attached to this article expresses a simple message and is called Sushi Tabetai. That means €œI want to eat sushi.€ The video shows a woman who can€™t sleep because she just wants to eat sushi and has to rush off to get some. Then it shows a variety of dancing sushi because of course it does.
